The present invention is a method of preparing a 3-aryl-1-indanamine represented by structural formula I and physiologically acceptable salts thereof. In structure I, phenyl ring A can be unsubstituted or substituted with 1-4 substitutents. R1 is an aromatic group which can be substituted or unsubstituted. R2 and R3 are each, independently, hydrogen, an aliphatic group, a substituted aliphatic group, an aromatic group, a substituted aromatic group, an aralkyl group, or a substituted aralkyl group. Alternatively R2 and R3, taken together with the nitrogen substitutent on the indan ring, form a non-aromatic ring system having 1-2 heteroatoms.

L'invention concerne un procédé relatif à l'élaboration d'une 3-aryle-1-indanamine représentée par la structure de la formule I, y compris les sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables de cette substance. Dans ladite structure, la chaîne phényle A peut être non substituée ou substituée avec quatre substituants. R?1¿ est un groupe aromatique pouvant être substitué ou non substitué. R?2¿ et R?3¿ sont chacun, indépendamment, hydrogène, un groupe aliphatique, un groupe aliphatique substitué, un groupe aromatique, un groupe aromatique substitué, un groupe aralkyle, ou un groupe aralkyle substitué. En guise de variante, R?2¿ et R?3¿, pris ensemble avec le substituant azote sur la chaîne indane, forment un système de chaîne non aromatique comprenant de 1 à 2 hétéroatomes.
