a,.szlig.,.szlig.-Trifluorostyrene and derivatives thereof synthesized in two steps from 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethylene. In the first step, 1,1,1,2- tetrafluoroethylene is reacted with a base, a metal salt such as zinc chloride and an optionally amine to form a trifluorovinyl metal complex. In the second step, the trifluorostyrene or derivative is obtained by reacting the trifluorovinyl metal complex with an aryl transfer agent such as, for example, an aryl triflate or an aryl halide, in the presence of a metal catalyst and optionally a coordinating ligand. Both steps may be carried out in one reactor.
L'invention concerne un .alpha.,.szlig.,.szlig.-trifluorostyrène et des dérivés de celui-ci synthétisés en deux étapes à partir de 1,1,1,2-tétrafluoroéthylène. La première étape consiste à faire réagir le 1,1,1,2-tétrafluoroéthylène avec une base, un sel métallique de type chlorure de zinc et éventuellement une amine afin de former un complexe métallique trifluorovinylique. La seconde étape consiste à obtenir ledit trifluorostyrène ou un dérivé de celui-ci par réaction du complexe métallique trifluorovinylique avec un agent de transfert d'aryle de type triflate d'aryle ou halogénure d'aryle, en présence d'un catalyseur métallique et éventuellement d'un ligand de coordination. Les deux étapes peuvent être effectuées dans un réacteur.
