Methods and apparatus for controlling an automated material handling procedure. The method includes receiving a recipe file comprising component information and mapping information; interacting with a user to create a procedure for executing a set of material handling steps; and causing an automated material-handling apparatus to carry out the set of material- handling steps by executing the procedure. The mapping information relates a source component and a destination component. The mapping information defines one or more transfers of at least one source component material to at least one destination component location. The method includes providing to the user an assortment of pre-programmed code objects and receiving from the user a selection and arrangement of the pre-programmed code objects. The procedure is defined by the user's selection and arrangement. The procedure contains at least one first pre-programmed code object operable to read and interpret the recipe file and at least one second pre-programmed code object operable to interpret a mapping read from the recipe file.
Cette invention concerne des procédés et un appareil qui permettent de gérer une procédure automatisée de manutention de matériaux. Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: recevoir un fichier recette contenant des informations sur les composants et des informations de mappage; interagir avec un utilisateur de manière à créer une procédure permettant d'exécuter un ensemble d'étapes de manutention des matériaux; et activer un appareil automatisé de manutention des matériaux qui va effectuer l'ensemble des étapes de manutention des matériaux en exécutant la procédure. Les informations de mappage portent sur un composant source et sur un composant destination, et définissent un ou plusieurs transferts d'au moins un matériau de composant source vers au moins un emplacement de composant destination. Ce procédé consiste ensuite à fournir à l'utilisateur un éventail d'objets de codes préprogrammés, et à recevoir de l'utilisateur une sélection et un agencement des objets de codes préprogrammés. Cette procédure est définie par la sélection et l'agencement de l'utilisateur. La procédure comprend au moins un premier objet de code préprogrammé qui peut être activé afin de lire et d'interpréter le fichier recette, et au moins un second objet de code préprogrammé qui peut être activé afin d'interpréter un mappage lu dans le fichier recette.
