ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for forming a molded article having the external appearance resembling that of natural cork which comprises, a thermoplastic resinous material as the major ingredient thereof, a caramel colorant which is present in an amount sufficient to impart to the thermoplastic resinous material the color of natural cork, and a blowing agent, said thermoplastic resinous material being compatible with the caramel colorant and having a processing temperature which is not so high as to degrade the caramel colorant during the molding operation.
