Synthetic molecular spring device featuring: (a) a synthetic molecular assembly, SMA, each scalable chemical module including; (i) at least one atom, M, (ii) at least one complexing group, CG, complexed to an atom, M, (iii) at least one axial ligand, AL, reversibly physicochemically paired with at least one atom, M complexed to a complexing group, CG, (iv) at least one substantially elastic molecular linker, ML, having body and two ends with at least one chemically bonded to another component of SMA; (b) activating mechanism, AM, operatively directed to an atom-axial ligand pair, whereby following activating mechanism, AM, sending activating signal, AS/AS', to an atom-axial ligand pair for physicochemically modifying the atom-axial ligand pair, there is activating at least one cycle of spring-type elastic reversible transitions between contracted and expanded linear conformational states of molecular linker, ML. Optionally includes (v) chemical connectors, CC, and/or, (vi) binding sites, BS.

L'invention concerne un dispositif à ressort synthétique moléculaire comportant: (a) un ensemble moléculaire synthétique, SMA, chaque module chimique échelonnable comportant; (1) au moins un atome M, (2) au moins un groupe complexant, CG, complexé à un atome, M, (3) au moins un ligand, AL, apparié par voie physico-chimique et réversible avec au moins un atome, M, complexé à un groupe complexant, CG, (4) au moins un liant moléculaire sensiblement élastique, ML, présentant un corps et deux extrémités dont l'une au moins est liée chimiquement à un autre composant de SMA; (b) un mécanisme d'activation, AM, dirigé de manière fonctionnelle vers une paire ligand axial-atome, et sous l'effet du mécanisme d'activation, AM, ainsi que de l'envoi d'un signal d'activation, AS/AS', à une paire ligand axial-atome pour modifier par voie physico-chimique la paire ligand axial-atome, au moins un cycle de transitions réversibles élastiques de type ressort étant activé entre les structures conformationnelles linéaires repliées et déployées du liant moléculaire, ML.
