ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The dimensional stability of closed-cell synthetic polymer foams can be notably improved by the incorporation therein, during their preparation, of from about 0.1 to about 10 percent by weight (based upon the weight of the synthetic resin) of certain borate or phosophinate glycol ester compounds such as, for example, tri(1-stearyl-glycero)borate, tri- (monostearylpolyoxyethyleneglycol)borate, di(1-stearyl- -glycero)phosphinate, and the like.
