ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a molding for a vehicle comprising a central body composed of a synthetic resin, the central body having an inner and outer surface. The body is shaped for connection to a portion of the vehicle. A metal foil is bonded to at least a portion of the outer surface of the synthetic resin body member and a protective, soft, plastic layer is bonded to at least a portion of the inner surface of the synthetic resin body member to form a protective layer between the body member and the portion of the vehicle to which the molding is attached.
