A synthetic-rich fabric (e.g., polyester, polypropylene, nylon, acrylic and elastane fibers - including lycra, spandex, etc.) useful in the manufacture of commercially launderable items is described. The fabric has many of the properties that make cotton fabrics desirable including hand feel, and wicking, but retains the best properties of synthetic fabrics, m addition, the soil release properties, pilling resistance and UV protection offered by the present items makes the fabric ideal in manufacturing apparel and non-apparel (e.g., pillow cases, bed sheets, aprons, tablecloths, napkins, etc.) items.

L'invention concerne un tissu riche en matières synthétique (p. ex. polyester, polypropylène, nylon, fibres acrylique et élastane dont le lycra, le spandex, etc.) utile dans la fabrication d'articles lavables en blanchisserie. Le tissu présente plusieurs des propriétés qui rendent les tissus en coton désirables, telles que la sensation tactile et l'effet mèche, en même temps qu'il maintient les meilleures propriétés des tissus synthétiques. L'addition modulo m, la propriété facilitant le lavage, la résistance au boulochage et la protection contre les rayons ultraviolets offerts par les articles de l'invention rendent le tissu idéal pour la fabrication d'articles vestimentaires et d'articles non vestimentaires (oreillers, draps de lit, tabliers, nappes de table, serviettes de table, etc.).
