SYRINGE LOCKING DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A syringe attachment mechanically locks the plunger with a syringe to prevent unwanted ejection or loss of the syringe contents. The attachment includes a clamp that clamps to the barrel of the syringe, an indi- cator that cooperates with the scale on the plunger bar- rel to indicate a remaining quantity of medication within the syringe and a stop that engages the thumb rest of the plunger to limit its forward movement towards the syringe barrel. The spacing in between the indicator and the plunger stop is the same as the length of the plunger itself so that the apparatus can be used to preset a specific dosage of medication to be injected.
