A system for accessing multi-media content is provided, which is adapted to be accessed by a mobile terminal (110) through a radio network (120). The system comprises storage means (130) adapted to store a plurality of multi-media content files having different digital formats. The system further comprises a mobile terminal characterizing unit (140), which is adapted to provide mobile terminal capabilities information indicating at least one capability of the mobile terminal, and a matching unit (150), which is adapted to identify a subset of the plurality of multi-media content files having at least one specific digital format wherein the at least one specific digital format is supported by the at least one capability of the mobile terminal, wherein the system is adapted to provide the subset of the plurality of multi-media content files having the at least one supported digital format to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal characterizing unit is further adapted to receive terminal identification information from the mobile terminal and to provide the terminal capabilities information based on the terminal identification information, and wherein the matching unit is further adapted to identify the subset of the plurality of multi-media content files based on the terminal capabilities information.
La présente invention concerne un système servant à accéder à un contenu multimédia, qui est adapté pour quun terminal mobile (110) y ait accès par le biais dun réseau radio (120). Le système comprend un moyen de stockage (130) adapté pour stocker une pluralité de fichiers de contenu multimédia présentant différents formats numériques. Le système comprend en outre une unité de caractérisation du terminal mobile (140), qui est adaptée pour fournir des informations de capacités du terminal mobile indiquant au moins une capacité du terminal mobile, et une unité de mise en correspondance (150), qui est adaptée pour identifier un sous-ensemble de la pluralité de fichiers de contenu multimédia présentant au moins un format numérique spécifique. Le ou les formats numériques spécifiques sont pris en charge par la ou les capacités du terminal mobile, le système étant adapté pour fournir le sous-ensemble de la pluralité de fichiers de contenu multimédia présentant le ou les formats numériques pris en charge au terminal mobile. Lunité de caractérisation de terminal mobile est adaptée en outre pour recevoir des informations didentification du terminal à partir du terminal mobile et pour fournir les informations de capacités du terminal sur la base des informations didentification du terminal. Lunité de mise en correspondance est adaptée en outre pour identifier le sous-ensemble de la pluralité de fichiers de contenu multimédia sur la base des informations de capacités du terminal.
