A flow set (10) which enables the sequential administration of two liquids from a pair of containers (12, 14) to a patient. The flow set has a pair of valve assemblies (16, 18) each in communication with a container. Each valve assembly has three ports communicating through a communication chamber; an inlet port being sealed with a first one-way valve allowing flow of liquid through it only into the chamber, an outlet port being sealed with a second one-way valve allowing flow of liquid through it only out of the chamber, and a pump communication port. A pair of inlet tubing segments (20, 22) each connect a container to the inlet port of a valve assembly. A connecting tubing segment (30) connects the pump communicating ports of the two valve assemblies. An outlet tubing segment (24, 26) connects to the outlet port of each valve assembly for delivery of the liquid to the patient. A pump (60) is connected to the connecting tubing segment. By reversing the pumping direction of the pump, liquid may be sequentially drawn from one container or the other.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'écoulement (10) qui permet d'administrer, de manière séquentielle, deux liquides provenant de deux récipients (12, 14), à un patient. Ce dispositif d'écoulement comporte deux ensembles de clapets (16, 18) communiquant chacun avec un récipient. Chaque ensemble de clapets comporte trois orifices communiquant par une chambre de communication, à savoir, un orifice d'entrée fermé par un premier clapet à une voie permettant au liquide de s'écouler pour pénétrer dans la chambre uniquement; un orifice de sortie fermé par un deuxième clapet à une voie permettant au liquide de s'écouler pour sortir de la chambre uniquement, et enfin un orifice de communication de la pompe. Deux segments de tubes d'entrée (20, 22) relient chacun un récipient à l'orifice d'entrée d'un ensemble de clapets. Un segment (30) de tube de raccordement relie les orifices de communication de la pompe des deux ensembles de clapets. Un segment (24, 26) de tube de sortie relie l'orifice de sortie de chaque ensemble de clapet pour administrer le liquide au patient. Une pompe (60) est reliée au segment de tube de raccordement. En inversant le sens de pompage de la pompe, le liquide peut être amené, de manière séquentielle, d'un récipient ou de l'autre.
