A system and method for automated adjustment processing using pre-configured sets of business rules is provided. The seller pre-configures a set of business rules for use in processing an adjustment for a specific buyer. The set of business rules may be variable for each buyer and/or globally set. When a payment is received from a seller and an adjustment is required, an adjustment management application retrieves the buyer's set of business rules from the seller. The set of business rules are then applied to attempt to match the received payment to one of the buyer's outstanding invoices. If the match is successful, the buyer's payment is processed.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de traitement d'ajustement automatisé faisant appel à des ensembles préconfigurés de règles commerciales. Le vendeur préconfigure un ensemble de règles commerciales à utiliser pour traiter un ajustement pour un acheteur spécifique. Ledit ensemble de règles commerciales peut varier pour chaque acheteur et/ou être fixé de manière globale. Lorsqu'un paiement est reçu d'un vendeur et nécessite un ajustement, une application de gestion d'ajustement extrait l'ensemble de règles commerciales de l'acheteur auprès du vendeur. Ledit ensemble de règles commerciales est alors appliqué afin de tenter de faire correspondre le paiement reçu à l'une des factures non exécutées de l'acheteur. S'il y a correspondance, le paiement de l'acheteur est traité.
