An apparatus, system, and method are provided for automatically discovering and grouping files and other resources used by a business process. The present invention includes a monitoring module that collects trace data representative of operational behaviour of software applications. An analysis module analyzes the trace data to discover resources affiliated with the business process. A determination module defines a logical application corresponding to the business process and includes the resources discovered by the analysis module. The logical application is automatically defined such that business policies may be readily implemented on the logical application as a whole. Manual identification of resources for a business process is eliminated or substantially reduced.
Cette invention concerne un appareil, un système et un procédé permettant de découvrir et de regrouper automatiquement des fichiers et d'autres ressources utilisés par un processus commercial. L'appareil de cette invention comprend un module de surveillance chargé de recueillir des données traces représentant le comportement opérationnel d'applications logicielles; un module d'analyse chargé d'analyser les données traces pour découvrir des ressources associées au processus commercial; et un module de détermination chargé de définir une application logique correspondant au processus commercial et comprenant les ressources découvertes par le module d'analyse. L'application logique est automatiquement définie de façon que des politiques commerciales puissent immédiatement être appliquées sur l'application logique dans son ensemble. Cette invention permet d'éliminer ou de réduire substantiellement l'identification manuelle de ressources pour un processus commercial.
