A method for incorporating human arbitration into an otherwise automated workflow process for the purpose of classifying documents (fig. 1). Workflow management for document classification processes enables users to manage a process by arranging complex tasks into predefined sequences with decision points that steer tasks to completion. The method enables human arbitration of the workflow processes for document classification by providing a browser based user interface for arbitrating document classification processes. A software implemented system for browser-based arbitration in a classification workflow process comprising authenticating a user name and password for enabling a user logon (110), displaying a task list screen (120), the task list screen displaying a summary list containing each current task that the user has permission to view and links to a task detail screen (130), a search screen (140), and a search queue screen (150), and enabling the user to arbitrate an assigned classification of assigned tasks in the workflow process.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'intégration de l'arbitrage humain dans un processus de flux de travail automatisé aux fins de classifier des documents (figure). La gestion des flux de travail pour des processus de classification de documents permet aux utilisateurs de gérer un processus par arrangement de tâches complexes en séquences prédéfinies avec des points de décision qui dirigent les tâches vers des processus de classification de documents. Un système mis en application par logiciel d'arbitrage basé sur navigateur dans un processus de flux de travail de classification consiste à authentifier le nom d'un utilisateur ainsi que son mot de passe pour permettre l'ouverture de session (110) de l'utilisateur, à afficher un écran (120) de liste de tâches, l'écran de liste de tâches affichant une liste résumée contenant chaque tâche courante que l'utilisateur a la permission de visualiser ainsi que des liens vers un écran (130) de détails de tâches, un écran de recherche (140) et un écran (150) de file d'attente de recherche, et à permettre à l'utilisateur d'arbitrer une classification affectée de tâches affectées dans le processus du flux de travail.
