A system and method for changing a value of a talk burst control timer, are provided. According to an embodiment, there is provided a method of controlling a talk burst for at least one PT (push-to) client each having at least one talk burst control timer, the method comprising: providing, by a device management server or a PT server, at least one time value for the at least one talk burst control timer, to the at least one PT client, and updating the at least one talk burst control timer in the at least one PT client with the at least one time value.

Selon un mode de réalisation, ce procédé permet de commander une rafale vocale pour au moins un client PT (push-to) ayant au moins un compteur de commande de rafales vocales. Ce procédé permet de: fournir, par l'intermédiaire d'un serveur de gestion de dispositif ou d'un serveur PT, au moins une valeur temporelle pour le ou les compteurs de commande rafales vocale, au(x) client(s) PT et de mettre à jour le ou les compteurs de commande rafales vocale du ou des clients PT avec la ou les valeurs temporelles.
