A system (100) for communicating digitally-encoded acoustic information across a computer network (120) between computers (110). The system includes a plurality of client computers (110) coupled together via a computer network (120). Each client computer (110) includes a communications interface, memory, a sound processor and a sound mixer. The communications interface is coupled to the computer network (120) and receives digitally-encoded acoustic signals from the other client computers (110) attached to the network. The memory is coupled to the communications interface and stores separately the received acoustic signals. The sound processor is coupled to the memory and enhances separately the stored acoustic signals. The sound mixer is coupled to the sound processor and mixes the enhanced acoustic signals to produce a mixed acoustic signal.
Système (100) permettant de communiquer des informations acoustiques à codage numérique sur un réseau informatique (120) entre des ordinateurs (110). Ledit système comporte une pluralité d'ordinateurs clients (110) couplés les uns aux autres par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau informatique (120). Chaque ordinateur client (110) comporte une interface de communication, une mémoire, un processeur de son et un mélangeur de son. L'interface de communication est couplée au réseau informatique (120) et reçoit des signaux acoustiques à codage numérique des autres ordinateurs clients (110) reliés au réseau. La mémoire est couplée à l'interface de communication et stocke séparément les signaux acoustiques reçus. Le processeur de son est couplé à la mémoire et améliore séparément les signaux acoustiques stockés. Le mélangeur de son est couplé au processeur de son et mélange les signaux acoustiques améliorés pour produire un signal acoustique mélangé.
