The present invention is a computer software system that allows the developer of a speech-enabled system to create a grammar and corpus for use in the system. A table interface is used, and phrases in the grammar are entered into cells in the table. The table also includes token data which corresponds to each valid utterance. When the grammar is defined, the computer software system automatically traverses the table to enumerate all possible valid utterances in the grammar. This traversal generates a listing (corpus) of valid utterances and their respective tokens. This listing can then be used to interpret spoken utterances for a speech-enabled system. The computer software system also transcribes the grammar rules found in the table to a format compatible with a variety of supported commercially-available speech recognizers.
L'invention concerne un système de logiciel informatique permettant au réalisateur d'un système de commande vocale de créer une grammaire et un corpus afin de les mettre en application dans ce système. On utilise une interface de table et on entre des syntagmes de la grammaire dans des cellules de la table. Cette table comprend également des données symboliques correspondant à chaque énoncé valable. Quand la grammaire est définie, ce système de logiciel informatique traverse automatiquement la table afin d'énumérer tous les énoncés valables possibles de la grammaire. Cette traversée génère une liste (corpus) des énoncés valables et leurs symboles respectifs. On peut ensuite utiliser cette liste afin d'interpréter des énoncés vocaux pour un système de commande vocale. Ce système de logiciel informatique transcrit également les règles grammaticales trouvées dans la table en un format compatible avec une variété de reconnaisseurs vocaux supportés disponibles dans le commerce.
