A system and method for developing an application for execution on a target device is described. The system comprises: a processor and a memory for storing instructions and data to configure the processor to provide: a development platform interface for developing a presentation component for output by the target device to a user interface in accordance with a target device appearance definition; a plurality of development platform appearance definitions for configuring the appearance of output of the development platform interface; and a mapping mechanism for mapping between the target device appearance definition and a corresponding development platform appearance definition to simulate on the system the output of the presentation component by the target device.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé qui permettent de développer une application qui sera exécutée sur un dispositif cible. Le système de l'invention comprend: un processeur et une mémoire destinée à stocker des instructions et des données permettant de configurer le processeur, afin d'obtenir: une interface de plate-forme de développement permettant de développer un composant de présentation qui sera sorti par le dispositif cible sur une interface utilisateur conformément à une définition d'aspect de dispositif cible; une pluralité de définitions d'aspect de plate-forme de développement permettant de configurer l'aspect de la sortie de l'interface de la plate-forme de développement; et un mécanisme de mappage permettant un mappage entre la définition d'aspect du dispositif cible et une définition d'aspect de plate-forme de développement correspondante afin de simuler sur le système la sortie du composant de présentation par le dispositif cible.
