A system for framing and hanging an object. The system includes an outer frame and a backing board that is secured to the outer frame. The backing board has a first face and a second, at least one peripheral edge, a plurality of rings secured with respect to the body, and a wire extending through the plurality of rings. The plurality of rings are arranged in a rectangular array and each ring is located a defined distance inwardly from the peripheral edge.
