The present invention relates to a system for imaging the surface of a substrate (102) through a coating on the substrate (102). The system includes an infrared light source (100) positioned to cast an infrared light (101) upon the substrate (102) to thereby create reflected light (104). A focal plane array (108) may be positioned to receive the reflected light (104) and generate an image (109) therefrom. At least one optical filter (106) may be disposed between the substrate (102) and the focal plane array (108) so as to pass only coating transparent wavelengths of the reflected light (104) along an optical path between the infrared light source (100) and the focal plane array (108) thereby visually revealing irregular structural features (110) of the substrate (102) as at least one image (109).
L'invention concerne un système d'imagerie d'une surface à travers un revêtement présent sur ce substrat. Le système comprend une source infrarouge positionnée afin de distribuer une rayonnement infrarouge sur le substrat et de créer ainsi un rayonnement réfléchi. Un réseau à plan focal peut être positionné afin de recevoir les rayonnement réfléchi et produire une image à partir de ce rayonnement. Un filtre optique, au moins, peut être disposé entre le substrat et le réseau à plan focal de façon à ne laisser passer que les longueurs d'ondes du rayonnement réfléchi, le long d'un chemin optique entre la source infrarouge et le réseau à plan focal, pour lesquelles le revêtement est transparent, ce qui permet de révéler visuellement les caractéristiques de structure irrégulière du substrat sous la forme d'au moins une image.
