An inspection system for inspecting an interior surface of a pipeline has a frame adapted to travel in the pipeline and an imaging means for imaging a selected portion of the interior surface of the pipeline. The imaging means has a field of view and is mounted in a rotatable manner on the frame. The inspection system has with a two- dimensional pattern generator for generating a two-dimensional patte rn projection. The generator is mounted with the imaging means to project the two-dimensional pattern projection in the field of view thereof. The imaging means provide images of the selected portion of the internal surface comprising the two-dimen sional pattern projection for monitoring a perpendicularity of the optical axis of the imaging means with respect to the selected portion of the interior surface of the pipeline thanks to a shape of the two-dimensional pattern projection prior to inspection of the internal surface.
La présente invention concerne un système d'inspection permettant d'inspecter une surface intérieure d'un pipeline qui a une carcasse adaptée pour se déplacer dans le pipeline et des moyens d'imagerie pour imager une partie sélectionnée de la surface intérieure du pipeline. Les moyens d'imagerie ont un champ de vision et sont montés selon une manière solidaire en rotation sur la carcasse. Le système d'inspection comprend un générateur de motif en deux dimensions pour générer une projection de motif en deux dimensions. Le générateur est monté avec les moyens d'imagerie pour projeter la projection dans leur champ de vision. Les moyens d'imagerie donnent des images de la partie sélectionnée de la surface interne comprenant la projection de motif en deux dimensions pour contrôler la perpendicularité de l'axe optique des moyens d'imagerie par rapport à la partie sélectionnée de la surface intérieure du pipeline à l'aide d'une forme de la projection de motif en deux dimensions avant l'inspection de la surface interne.
