In accordance with the invention, a method for interfacing a data processing system (e.g. 12) to a business-to-business integration system (18) uses an event-based triggering techniques to automatically engage in an electronic transaction between different business entities to minimize errors with human intervention in the transactional process. The creation of a transaction is sensed by detecting the occurrence of a triggering event (S12). Reference data is read for the transaction from an application database upon the detecting of the triggering event (S14). An outgoing message is formed from transactional data and the reference data upon the detection of the triggering event (S15).
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'interfacer un système de traitement de données (par ex., 12) à un système d'intégration interentreprises (18), par la mise en oeuvre d'une technique de déclenchement fondée sur un événement, en vue d'entreprendre automatiquement une transaction électronique entre plusieurs entités commerciales, de manière à minimiser des erreurs engendrées par une intervention humaine dans le processus de la transaction. La création d'une transaction est détectée par l'occurrence d'un événement de déclenchement (S12). Des données de référence sont lues pour la transaction, à partir d'une base de données d'application, au moment de la détection de l'événement de déclenchement (S14). Un message sortant est élaboré à partir des données relatives à la transaction et des données de référence, au moment de la détection de l'événement de déclenchement (S15).
