A system and method for managing behavioral health care data includes an electronically governed transfer of selected information between patient databases residing at a provider site and a host site. The system and method eliminate human intervention at the host site in select cases in which treatment approval is sought and can be granted electronically on the basis of a set of rules resident in the host site computer based upon patient coverage. Treatment outcome can also be uploaded at predetermined intervals, and, if deemed necessary by the provider, an extension of the approved treatment can be sought and granted, again without human intervention at the host site in select cases. An automatic download of patient information to a provider site selected on the basis of such criteria as area of specialization and geographical location can be initiated from the host site.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de gestion des données concernant les soins de troubles comportementaux, comprenant un transfert électronique d'informations sélectionnées parmi des bases de données de patients se trouvant sur un site fournisseur et un site hôte. Le système et le procédé permettent d'éliminer l'intervention humaine sur le site hôte dans des cas spécifiques où on vise à obtenir l'approbation d'un traitement. L'approbation peut être accordée électroniquement en fonction d'un ensemble de règles se trouvant dans l'ordinateur du site hôte en fonction de la couverture du patient.
