A B S T R A C T A system and method for computer controlled imaging of lottery and commercial coupons on a moving continuous web provides substantially improved security and prize structure integrity through the use of two independently controlled com- puter imagers whereby the second imager is used to image ticket serial numbers only when monitoring of prior imaged data by the first imager ensures that ticket serial numbers are only placed on valid tickets and not on defective and/or voided ticket stock.
