A system, method and device for MIMO radio communication of multiple signals between a first device (100) having N plurality of antennas (110) and a second device (200) having M plurality of antennas (210). At the first device, a vector s representing L signals to be transmitted is processed with a transmit matrix A to maximize capacity of the channel between the first device and the second device subject to a power constraint that the power emitted by each of the N antennas is less than or equal to a maximum power. The power constraint for each antenna may be the same for all antennas or specific or different for each antenna. For example, the power constraint for each antenna may be equal to a total maximum power emitted by all of the N antennas combined divided by N. The transmit matrix A distributes the L signals among the N plurality of antennas for simultaneous transmission to the second device. At the second device, the signals received by the M plurality of antennas are processed with receive weights and the resulting signals are combined to recover the L signals.
L'invention concerne un système, un procédé et un dispositif de communication radio MIMO de multiples signaux entre un premier dispositif ayant une pluralité N d'antennes et un second dispositif ayant une pluralité M d'antennes. Au niveau du premier dispositif, un vecteur s représentant L signaux [sl ... SL] à transmettre est traité avec une matrice d'émission A afin de maximiser la capacité du canal entre le premier dispositif et le second dispositif soumis à une limite de puissance telle que la puissance émise par chacune des N antennes est inférieure ou égale à une puissance maximale. La limite de puissance pour chaque antenne peut être identique pour toutes les antennes ou spécifique ou différente pour chaque antenne. Par exemple, la limite de puissance pour chaque antenne peut être égale à une puissance maximale totale émise par toutes les N antennes combinées divisé par N. La matrice d'émission A répartit les L signaux [sl ... sL] parmi la pluralité N d'antennes pour une transmission simultanée vers le second dispositif. Au niveau du second dispositif, les signaux reçus par la pluralité M d'antennes sont traités au moyen de pondérations de réception et les signaux obtenus sont combinés afin de récupérer les L signaux.
