The present invention provides for a system and method of monitoring the status of a plurality of medical devices connected to a central computer or server using a wired or wireless network, and displaying information representative of the status of the medical devices to a user on a display screen using both graphics and text. The system is also capable of determining when a condition or alarm warranting notification of the care giver to correct the condition exists, and displaying information about the condition or alarm on the display, including associating a warning graphic or icon representative of the condition or alarm with an icon representing a specific medical device or portion of a medical device. The system includes a rules data base and decision engine that may be used to determine the existence of conditions that require notification to the care giver.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé pour contrôler l'état d'une pluralité de dispositifs médicaux connectés à un ordinateur central ou à un serveur par le biais d'un réseau câblé ou sans fil et pour afficher des informations représentant l'état des dispositifs médicaux à un utilisateur, sur un écran d'affichage mettant en oeuvre à la fois des graphiques et du texte. Le système peut également déterminer l'existence d'une condition ou d'une alarme assurant l'avertissement du soignant pour corriger la condition, et afficher des informations concernant la condition ou l'alarme sur l'écran, notamment associer un graphique ou une icône d'avertissement représentatif de la condition ou de l'alarme avec une icône représentant un dispositif médical spécifique ou une partie d'un dispositif médical. Le système selon cette invention comprend une base de données de règles et un moteur décisionnel qui peuvent être utilisés pour déterminer l'existence de conditions nécessitant l'avertissement du soignant.
