This invention is a system and method for non-invasive detecting of coronary artery disease. The system and method utilize a vasodilator drug to increase the signal to noise ratio of an acoustic signal that represents diastolic heart sounds of a patient. A wavelet transform is performed on the acoustic signal to provide parameters for a feature vector. Scaled clinical examination parameters, such as a patient's sex, age, body weight, smoking condition, blood pressure and family history are also included in the feature vector. The feature vector is used as an input pattern to neural networks (208). The output of the neural networks (208) represents a diagnosis of coronary stenosis in a patient.
Ce système et ce procédé, qui permettent la détection non invasive d'une maladie des artères coronaires, recourent à un médicament vasodilatateur pour améliorer le rapport signal sur bruit d'un signal acoustique représentant les sons de la diastole cardiaque d'un patient. On réalise sur ce signal acoustique une transformée des ondulations pour fournir des paramètres destinés à un vecteur de caractéristiques dans lequel on inclut des paramètres gradués d'examen clinique tels que sexe, âge, poids, statut de fumeur, tension artérielle et historique familial d'un patient. Ce vecteur de caractéristiques sert de schéma d'entrée destiné à des réseaux neuronaux (208) dont les résultats de sortie des réseaux neuronaux (208) constituent un diagnostic de sténose coronaire du patient.
