A method (fig.2) and related apparatus for delivering a message from a calling party at a calling station to a called party at a called station. In response to an unsuccessful attempt to communicate from the calling station to the called station (step 32), the messaging system stores a message from the calling station (step 32). The messaging system attempts deliver the message to the called station by initiating a communication from the messaging system to the called station (step 38). In response to successful delivery of the message, the messaging system notifies the calling party that the message to the called station was successfully delivered.
L'invention porte sur un procédé (Fig. 2) et sur un appareil correspondant de distribution d'un message provenant d'un demandeur se situant au niveau d'une station appelante et destiné à un demandé au niveau d'une station appelée. En réponse à une tentative vaine de communication de la station appelante à la station appelée (étape 22), le système de messagerie enregistre un message provenant de la station appelante (étape 32). Le système de messagerie tente de distribuer le message à la station appelée en déclenchant à partir du système de messagerie une communication destinée à la partie appelée (étape 38). En réponse à une distribution réussie du message, le système de messagerie avise le demandeur que le message a bien été délivré à la station appelée.
