A system is provided for promoting hair growth comprising one or more extracts from a steroidal alkaloid-containing plant selected from a Veratrum plant, a Buxus plant, a Holarrhena plant, a Solarium plant and a Rauwolfia plant. The system can further comprise an extract from a Pilocarpus plant and a seaweed extract. The system can also be used in reducing hair loss, enhancing or restoring hair colour, increasing the thickness of hair, improving the general appearance of hair, and/or reducing or eliminating dandruff. Methods of promoting the growm of hair are also provided.
La présente invention se rapporte à un système destiné à favoriser la croissance des cheveux, qui contient un ou plusieurs extraits d'une plante contenant un alcaloïde stéroïdien, sélectionnée parmi Veratrum, Buxus, Holarrhena, Solarium et Rauwolfia. Le système selon l'invention peut aussi renfermer un extrait de Pilocarpus et un extrait d'algue. Le système selon l'invention peut également servir à réduire la perte de cheveux, améliorer ou restaurer la couleur des cheveux, augmenter l'épaisseur des cheveux, améliorer l'aspect général des cheveux, et/ou réduire ou éliminer les pellicules. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés destinés à favoriser la croissance des cheveux.
