A reduced pressure delivery system for applying a reduced pressure to a tissue site is provided. The system includes a manifold having a plurality of flow channels. The manifold is configured to be placed adjacent the tissue site. A first conduit is in fluid communication with the flow channels of the manifold to deliver a reduced pressure to the flow channels. A second conduit is in fluid communication with the flow channels of the manifold and is operably connected to a valve. The valve selectively purges the second conduit with ambient air when the valve is positioned in an open position, and a controller is operably connected to the valve to place the valve in the open position for a selected amount of time at a selected interval during delivery of reduced pressure through the first conduit.
L' invention concerne un système d'application de pression réduite permettant l'application d'une pression réduite sur un site tissulaire. Ce système comprend un élément distributeur comprenant une pluralité de canaux d'écoulement. L'élément distributeur est conçu pour être placé dans un emplacement adjacent au site tissulaire. Un premier conduit communique avec les canaux d'écoulement de manière à permettre le passage de fluides et l'application d'une pression réduite dans les canaux d'écoulement. Un second conduit communique avec les canaux d'écoulement de l'élément de distribution de manière à permettre le passage de fluides et est en outre raccordé de manière opérationnelle à une soupape. La soupape purge de manière sélective le second conduit au moyen de l'air ambiant lorsque la soupape se trouve en position ouverte, et un dispositif de commande est raccordé de manière opérationnelle à la soupape de manière à placer cette dernière en position ouverte pendant une durée prédéterminée, à intervalles prédéterminés, pendant l'application de la pression réduite à travers le premier conduit.
