To revert the topology of a network to its original state after a malfunctioned link (34) has been repaired, an Operation Support System (OSS) (22) sends to each of the custodial nodes (4, 8) and the tandem nodes (14, 16, 18) that form the alternate route respective commands to revert the operation that each node had performed during restoration. The OSS (22) identifies the custodial nodes (4, 8) by the fact that those nodes perform more operations than the tandem nodes (14, 16, 18). The operations that were performed during restoration were recorded. Upon receipt from different nodes that the malfunctioned link (34) has been repaired, the OSS (22) sends to each of the nodes (4, 8, 14, 16, 18) a specific command to perform the inverse of the operations that the node had performed during restoration. The custodial nodes (4, 8) are ordered to perform their inverse operations first so that the repaired link (34) once again connects the custodial nodes (4, 8). A path verification process is next performed to ensure the integrity of the repaired link (34).
Pour rétablir la topologie d'un réseau dans son état normal après la réparation d'une panne de circuit (34), un système de soutien à l'exploitation (SSE) (22) envoie aux noeuds de surveillance (4, 8) et aux noeuds simultanés (14, 16, 18) qui forment le chemin d'accès alternatif des commandes respectives de refaire en sens inverse les opérations que chaque noeud a effectuées pendant le rétablissement. Le SSE (22) identifie les noeuds de surveillance (4, 8) grâce au fait que ces noeuds effectuent davantage d'opérations que les noeuds simultanés (14, 16, 18). Les opérations qui ont été effectuées pendant la remise en service ont été enregistrées. Dès qu'il reçoit, en provenance des différents noeuds, l'information selon laquelle les circuits en panne (34) ont été réparés, le SSE (22) envoie à chacun des noeuds (4, 8, 14, 16, 18) une commande spécifique pour effectuer l'inverse des opérations que le noeud a effectuées pendant le rétablissement. Les noeuds de surveillance (4, 8) reçoivent l'ordre d'effectuer, en premier, les opérations en sens inverse, pour reconnecter encore une fois le circuit réparé (34) avec les noeuds de surveillance (4, 8). Un dispositif de vérification du chemin est ensuite actionné pour assurer l'intégrité du circuit réparé (34).
