A system and method for recovering thermal energy from a fuel processing system comprising a fuel processor (12) and a fuel cell stack (14). The system includes a heat recovery system including a heat exchange fluid (34) that recovers thermal energy from such sources as the combustion exhaust from the fuel processor, the cathode chamber exhaust (50) from the fuel cell stack and/or the fuel cell stack directly.

Système et procédé de récupération d'énergie thermique à partir d'un système de traitement de combustible comprenant un processeur de combustible (12) et un bloc de pile à combustible (14). Le système comprend des moyens de récupération de chaleur présentant un fluide échangeur thermique (34) qui récupère l'énergie thermique en provenance de sources telles les gaz résiduaires de combustion du processeur de combustible, les gaz résiduaires de la chambre cathodique (50) du bloc de pile à combustible et/ou directement ledit bloc de pile à combustible.
