The invented method includes generating a start scan signal at a user interface of a client device, transmitting the start scan signal from the client device to a scanner, receiving the start scan signal at the scanner, and scanning a document with the scanner to generate document data, in response to the start scan signal. The user interface can include a web browser and the start scan signal can be generated by activation of a control element defined in a hypertext mark-up language (HTML) document displayed on the web browser. The method can also include transmitting the document data from the scanner to the client device, receiving the document data at the client device, and generating a display including the scanned document on the user interface of the client device, based on the document data. The display can be generated from a hypertext mark-up language (HTML) document. The method can further include inputting predetermined index data into the user interface of the client device, generating a send data signal at the user interface of the client device, transmitting the document data and index data from the client device to the server in response to the send data signal, receiving the document data and index data at the server, and storing the document data in association with the index data in a database of a data storage unit. The index data can include predetermined identification data to identify the document. The invention also includes a related method and system.
L'invention concerne un procédé consistant à produire un signal de début de balayage au niveau d'une interface utilisateur d'un dispositif client, à émettre ce signal de début de balayage à partir du dispositif client vers un balayeur, à recevoir ledit signal de début de balayage au niveau du balayeur, puis à balayer un document au moyen du balayeur de manière à produire des données de document en réponse audit signal de début de balayage. L'interface utilisateur peut comprendre un navigateur Web, le signal de début de balayage pouvant être produit par activation d'un élément de commande défini dans un document HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) affiché sur le navigateur Web. Ce procédé peut également consister à transmettre les données de document à partir du balayeur vers le dispositif client, à recevoir les données de document au niveau du dispositif client, et à produire un affichage comprenant le document balayé sur l'interface utilisateur du dispositif client selon les données de document. L'affichage peut être produit à partir d'un document HTML. Ledit procédé peut également consister à entrer des données d'indice prédéterminées dans l'interface utilisateur du dispositif client, à produire un signal d'envoi de données au niveau de l'interface utilisateur du dispositif client, à transmettre les données de document et les données d'indice à partir du dispositif client vers le serveur en réponse au signal d'envoi de données, à recevoir ces données de document et ces données d'indice au niveau du serveur, et à stocker les données de document associées aux données d'indice dans une base de données d'une unité de mémoire. Les données d'indice peuvent comprendre des données d'identification prédéterminées permettant d'identifier le document en question. L'invention concerne également un procédé et un système associés.
