A system and method are disclosed for accessing resources located on (or accessible from) a remote computer (102A). In a preferred embodiment, a proxy server (104) is adapted to facilitate communication between the remote computer (102A) and a user's wireless (100) or other device. Both the remote computer and the wireless device preferably derive a DNS entry for the proxy server from a remote ID assigned to the remote computer (102A) and establish an HTTP connection with the proxy server (104). The remote computer (102A) preferably selects DNS entries for the proxy server (104) that include randomly chosen DNS host names each of which resolve to the proxy server's IP address. The proxy server (104) is adapted to forward messages from the wireless device (100) to the remote computer (102A) and from the remote computer (102A) to the wireless device (100) via the HTTP connection. Each message is preferably encrypted so that it cannot be decrypted by the proxy server (104).
Cette invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'accéder à des ressources situées sur un ordinateur éloigné (ou auxquelles on peut accéder à partir d'un ordinateur éloigné). Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, un serveur mandataire intervient pour faciliter la communication entre l'ordinateur éloigné et un dispositif utilisateur sans fil ou autre. Tant l'ordinateur éloigné que le dispositif sans fil dérivent une entrée DNS pour le serveur mandataire à partir d'une ID éloignée attribuée audit ordinateur et établissent une connexion HTTP avec le serveur mandataire. L'ordinateur éloigné sélectionne de préférence pour le serveur mandataire des entrées DNS qui comprennent des noms d'hôte DNS choisis de façon aléatoire, noms qui traduisent chacun l'adresse 1P du serveur mandataire. Le serveur mandataire est conçu pour transmettre des messages de façon bidirectionnelle entre l'ordinateur éloigné et le dispositif sans fil via une connexion HTTP. Chaque message est de préférence crypté pour qu'il ne puisse pas être décrypté par le serveur mandataire.
