A B S T R A C T The system for suspendingly transporting bodies according to the invention comprises a carriage movable along a predetermined path as guided by guide rails and a support mounted to a lower portion of the carriage through suspenders. The support comprises a support frame tiltable relative to the carriage and a hanger attached to the sup- port frame and rotatable about a vertical axis, the hanger being adapted to support a body thereon. The support frame has lock devices for locking the hanger. At a specified location there are disposed a release device for releasing each lock device and a hanger handling device which engages the hanger from below to turn it through a specified angle.
