There is disclosed a system and method for enabling transmission of data between an application pair, a first one of the applications in a nomadic/mobile subsystem and a second one of the applications in a ground subsystem comprising a first router within the nomadic/mobile subsystem, the first router interconnected with the first application, a second router within the ground subsystem, the second router interconnected with the second application, and a secure data transfer tunnel established between the first router and the second router, the tunnel comprising a plurality of communication pipes, each one of the plurality of pipes having associated therewith one of a plurality of different communication networks and at least one filtering rule dictating circumstances under which the pipe can be used to transmit data. When at least one attribute of the data to be transmitted matches the at least one filtering rule of a matching one of the plurality of pipes, the transmission of the data between the application pair is assigned to the matching pipe. In a particular embodiment each of said different communication networks comprises a network driver, and each of said plurality of pipes further comprises a roaming profile consisting of a set of rules defining how the pipe can transmit and receive data packets from at least one of said network drivers.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant la transmission de données entre une paire d'applications, une première application se situant dans un sous-système nomade/mobile et une seconde application se situant dans un sous-système de mise à la terre, comprenant un premier routeur dans le sous-système nomade/mobile, le premier routeur est interconnecté avec la première application, un second routeur dans le sous-système de mise à la terre, le second routeur est interconnecté avec la seconde application. Un tunnel de transfert de données sécurisé est établi entre le premier routeur et le second routeur, le tunnel comprenant une pluralité de canaux de communication, chacun de la pluralité de canaux étant associé à l'un d'une pluralité de réseaux de communication différents et au moins une règle de filtrage dicte les circonstances sous lesquelles le canal peut être utilisé pour transmettre des données. Lorsqu'un ou des attributs des données devant être transmises correspond à la ou les règles de filtrage d'un canal correspondant de la pluralité de canaux, la transmission des données entre la paire d'applications est attribuée au canal correspondant. Dans un mode de réalisation particulier, chacun desdits différents réseaux de communication comprend un pilote de périphérique réseau, et chacun de ladite pluralité de canaux comprend en outre un profil itinérant composé d'un ensemble de règles définissant la façon dont le canal peut transmettre et recevoir des paquets de données d'au moins un desdits pilotes de périphérique réseau.
