In implementing an immediate call conference, a voice response unit will handle the validation of the user's billing using major credit carts or telephone cards The voice response unit will assigned a conference id to the user after the transaction is approved. Then the voice response unit will access a conference bridge which will prepare for immediate conferencing by aligning a conference identification number with the validated billing number. A live conference coordinator will then be connected to the user to collect names and destinations of the conferencing parties. At the conclusion of the call, the bridge writes a call record including destinations, duration and the conference Id for each call leg. The call record is then matched to the user's billing information and an invoice is generated.
