A system and method for managing production printing workflow is disclosed. The system includes workflow man- agement software which manages and facilitates the procedural stages of the workflow including job origination, job preparation, job submission and job fulfillment. The workflow management software provides an integrated object oriented interface which vi- sually reflects and interacts with the workflow. The software further provides functionality for efficient page level modifications to documents at the job preparation stage. This functionality allows such modifications to be easily made to selected pages and visually verified by displaying visual representations of the modifications on visual representations of the pages.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de gestion de la marche du travail d'impression de production. Le système comprend un logiciel de gestion de la marche du travail, lequel gère et facilite les étapes de celle-ci, telles que l'origine, la préparation, la prestation et l'exécution du travail. Le logiciel de gestion de la marche du travail constitue une interface orientée objet intégrée, qui reflète visuellement la marche de travail et interagit avec celle-ci. Le logiciel apporte, en outre, une fonctionnalité servant à modifier efficacement le niveau de page de documents lors de l'étape de préparation.
