A transducer is optimally driven at or near its resonant frequency by a driver system that adapts to variations and/or changes to the resonant frequency of the transducer due to variations in piezo materials, manufacturing, assembly, compo-nent tolerances, and/or operational conditions. The system may include an output controller, a phase track controller, a frequency generator, a drive, circuitry to determine a phase angle between the transducer voltage and transducer current, and circuitry to ob-tain transducer admittance from the transducer voltage and transducer current.

Selon l'invention, un transducteur est piloté de manière optimale à sa fréquence de résonance, ou presque à sa fréquence de résonance, par un système de pilotage qui s'adapte aux variations et/ou changements de la fréquence de résonance du transducteur dus aux variations inhérentes aux matériaux piézoélectriques, à la fabrication, au montage, aux tolérances des pièces et/ou aux conditions de fonctionnement. Le système peut comporter un régulateur de sortie, un dispositif de commande de suivi de phase, un générateur de fréquence, un pilote, des circuits de détermination d'un angle de phase entre la tension du transducteur et le courant du transducteur, et des circuits permettant d'obtenir l'admittance du transducteur à partir de la tension du transducteur et du courant du transducteur.
