A method of filtering and collecting blood or blood products is disclosed. The method includes filtering blood or blood product using a filtration device (223), collecting the blood or blood product in a receiving bag (294), allowing blood or blood products to remain in a first length of downstream tubing (218), mixing the blood or blood product within the receiving bag (294), sealing the first length of tubing (218) into one or more segments having blood or blood product remaining therein to be later used for cross- matching of the blood or blood product, expressing blood or blood product from the receiving bag (294) into a second length of tubing (298) connected to the receiving bag (294), and sealing the second length of tubing (298) into one or more segments having blood or blood products therein to be later used for quality control testing.
Cette invention a trait à une technique permettant de filtrer et de recueillir du sang ou des produits sanguins, laquelle technique consiste à filtrer le sang ou le produit sanguin à l'aide d'un dispositif de filtration (223), à recueillir le sang ou le produit sanguin dans une poche (294), à laisser le sang ou le produit sanguin dans une première longueur d'un tuyau aval (218), à mélanger le sang ou le produit sanguin dans la poche (294), à constituer, dans cette première longueur, un ou plusieurs compartiments hermétiquement fermés dans lesquels demeure le sang ou le produit sanguin, celui-ci ou ceux-ci devant être utilisé(s) pour des épreuves de la compatibilité directe, à transférer le sang ou le produit sanguin de la poche (294) dans une seconde longueur de tuyau (298) reliée à cette poche (294) et à constituer, dans cette seconde longueur, un ou plusieurs compartiments hermétiquement fermés dans lesquels demeure le sang ou le produit sanguin, celui-ci ou ceux-ci devant être utilisé(s) pour des épreuves de contrôle de qualité.
