A system for producing a crystal formed from a material with impurities has a crucible for containing the material. The crucible has, among other things, a crystal region for forming the crystal, an introduction region for receiving the material, and a removal region for removing a portion of the material. The crucible is configured to produce a generally one directional flow of the material (in liquid form) from the introduction region toward the removal region. This generally one directional flow causes the removal region to have a higher concentration of impurities than the introduction region.

Système permettant de produire un cristal formé à partir d'un matériau contenant des impuretés , ledit système présentant un creuset destiné à contenir le matériau. Le creuset comprend, entre autres, une région destinée à la croissance du cristal permettant de former le cristal, une région d'introduction permettant de recevoir le matériau et une région de retrait permettant d'enlever une partie du matériau. Le creuset est conçu de manière à produire un écoulement du matériau (sous forme liquide) généralement unidirectionnel partant de la région d'introduction vers la région de retrait. Cet écoulement généralement unidirectionnel génère une concentration d'impuretés plus importante dans la région de retrait que dans la région d'introduction.
