A modular vehicle gauge system includes a remote unit (105), a sensor module (110) and at least one gauge (115). The remote unit includes a first microcontroller (130), a memory and an interface (125) to allow communications with the sensor module (110) and the at least one gauge (115). The sensor module includes a second microcontroller (150), and an interface (160) to allow communications with the remote unit and the at least one gauge. The at least one gauge includes a third microcontroller (185), an interface (180) to allow communications with the remote unit, and means for changing an illumination of the at least one gauge upon the occurrence of an event. The modular vehicle gauge system also includes means for exchanging information between the remote unit, the sensor module and the at least one gauge.
Selon l'invention, un système de jauge de véhicule modulaire comprend un module à distance (105), un module de détecteur (110) et au moins une jauge (115). Ledit module à distance comporte un premier microcontrôleur (130), une mémoire et une interface (125) de manière à permettre des communications avec le module du détecteur (110) et la jauge (115). Ce module du détecteur comporte un second microcontrôleur (150) et une interface (160) afin de permettre des communications avec le module à distance et la jauge. Cette dernière présente un troisième microcontrôleur (185), une interface (180) conçue pour permettre des communications avec le module à distance, et un dispositif de modification d'un éclairage de la jauge, suite à l'occurrence d'un événement. Ce système de jauge de véhicule modulaire comprend, également, un dispositif d'échange d'informations entre le module à distance, le module du détecteur et la jauge.
