A proxy switch, communication method for use in a mobile network are described. A proxy switch is deployed between a base station subsystem and a mobile station center. It receives signaling messages and either retransmits them, blocks them, converts them, or siphons them to an alternative network. A BS is in trunk line communication with the switch and the trunk line communication is organized as bearer circuits, each bearer circuit identifiable with a circuit identification code (CIC). The switch receives signaling messages from the the BS and determines if a call corresponding to the signaling message is to be handled by the alternative communication network. If so, the switch assigns a CIC for a bearer circuit for the call and communicates the CIC to the BS. Thereafter, the switch receives information on the CIC-identified bearer circuit and forwards the received information to the alternative network.
La présente invention concerne un commutateur de procuration, des procédés de communication et une logique de communication destinés à être utilisés dans un réseau mobile. Un commutateur de procuration couvre une zone située entre un sous-système de station de base et un centre de station mobile. Il reçoit des messages de signalisation qu'il peut retransmettre, ou bloquer, ou convertir ou encore renvoyer en bloc sur un autre réseau. Hormis le fait qu'il permet de dévier une partie du trafic mobile, il constitue une plate-forme pour de nouveaux services de communication. Un réseau de communication du service mobile comprend au moins une station de base (BS), au moins une station mobile (MS), au moins un centre de station de base (MSC) et au moins un commutateur qui communique avec au moins une (BS) et le ou les MSC. Une BS est en communication par une ligne de jonction avec le commutateur, cette communication par ligne de jonction étant organisée au moyen de circuits supports, chaque circuit support étant identifiable par un code d'identification de circuit (CIC). Le commutateur reçoit des messages de signalisation provenant de la BS et détermine si un appel correspondant au message de signalisation doit être pris en charge par un autre réseau de communication. Si c'est le cas, le commutateur attribue un CIC à un circuit support pour cet appel et communique le CIC à la BS. Ensuite, le commutateur reçoit des informations concernant le circuit support identifié par le CIC et renvoie les informations reçues à l'autre réseau.
