A system and method in a radio telecommunications network of storing calling line identification (CLI) information when a called mobile terminal (15) is not available to receive the CLI information, and forwarding the CLI information to the called mobile terminal when the terminal becomes available. When an incoming call for the mobile terminal is received in a gateway mobile switching center (G-MSC) (12), the Home Location Register (HLR) (13) or the visited MSC (V-MSC) (14) where the mobile terminal is operating determines whether the mobile terminal is available. If not, the G-MSC sends a short message service (SMS) point-to-point (PTP) message (28) to a message center (MC) (16) and includes the CLI information. The MC is notified when the mobile terminal becomes available. The MC then forwards the CLI information to the V-MSC in an SMS PTP message (32). The V-MSC sends the CLI information to the mobile terminal in an IS-136 R-DATA message (34) or other appropriate data message.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de stocker des informations identification de ligne appelante (CLI) dans un réseau de radiocommunications lorsqu'un terminal mobile appelé (15) n'est pas disponible pour recevoir les informations CLI. Ce système et ce procédé permettent également de transmettre les informations CLI au terminal mobile appelé une fois ce dernier à nouveau disponible. Lorsqu'un centre de commutation mobile passerelle (G-MSC) (12) reçoit un appel entrant destiné au terminal mobile, l'enregistreur de localisation nominal (ELN) (13) ou le centre de commutation mobile visité (V-MSC) (14) où le terminal mobile est opérationnel, détermine si le terminal mobile est disponible. Sinon, le G-MSC envoie un message point à point (PTP) de service message court (SMS) à un centre de message (MC) (16) contenant les informations CLI. Le MC est averti lorsque le terminal mobile devient disponible. Le MC achemine les informations CLI au V-MSC dans un message SMS PTP (32). Le V-MSC envoie les informations CLI au terminal mobile dans un message IS-136 R-DATA (34) ou un autre message données approprié.
