A system and method for rebalancing separately managed accounts utilizing sub-models. Sub-models can be generated automatically by analyzing the restrictions that exist on the individual accounts, or created manually by identifying particular stocks that might fall within a particular industry, sector or other arbitrary classification. An account can be classified as belonging to one or more sub-models. These sub-models allow for a more efficient rebalancing process by allowing transaction decisions to be made according to a particular sub-model rather than at the level of each individual account. These sub-models also allow for more efficient monitoring of large numbers of accounts by allowing analysis of account drift according to both restrictions associated with the account as well as the account's master model portfolio, rather than solely relative to the account's master model portfolio without incorporating the account's restrictions.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de rééquilibrer des comptes gérés séparément à l'aide de sous-modèles. Des sous-modèles peuvent être générés automatiquement par l'analyse des restrictions imposées sur les comptes individuels, ou créés manuellement par l'identification d'actions particulières qui peuvent relever d'une industrie ou d'un secteur donnés ou de toute autre classification arbitraire. Un compte peut être classé comme appartenant à un ou plusieurs sous-modèles. Lesdits sous-modèles permettent d'améliorer le processus de rééquilibrage car ils autorisent la prise de décisions de transactions en accord avec un sous-modèle particulier plutôt qu'au niveau de chaque compte individuel. Lesdits sous-modèles permettent également d'améliorer la supervision d'un grand nombre de comptes, car ils autorisent l'analyse de la dérive d'un compte en fonction à la fois des restrictions associées au compte et du portefeuille modèle maître du compte, et non uniquement par rapport au portefeuille modèle maître sans intégration des restrictions du compte.
