A system is disclosed for reducing the amount of waste water and recovering reusable constituents from a waste stream including at least two constituents having different relative volatilities. The system includes a vapor thermocrompression evaporator (10), into which the waste stream is directed, to vaporize one of the constituents within the waste stream without appreciably vaporizing other constituents in the waste stream. The vapor thermocompression evaporator (10) also has a vapor compressor (14) for compressing the vaporized fraction of the first constituent and delivering this compressed vaporized fraction to transfer heat to the waste stream. The system further has a film evaporator (16) in series with the vapor thermocompression evaporator (10) which transfers heat to the stream after it leaves the vapor thermocompression evaporator (10) to vaporize substantially all of the first constituent without appreciably vaporizing the second constituent. There is also a second vapor compressor (18) in communication with the film evaporator (16) for compressing the vaporized first constituent from the film evaporator (16) and delivering the compressed vaporized first constituent to either the vapor thermocompression evaporator (10) or the film evaporator (16) in order to transfer heat to the stream therein.
Cette invention se rapporte à un système de réduction de la quantité d'eaux usées dans un flux de déchets et de récupération des constituants réutilisables contenus dans un tel flux comportant au moins deux constituants dotés d'indices de volatilité différents. Ledit système comprend un thermocompresseur (10) à l'intérieur duquel est dirigé le flux de déchets et dans lequel un des constituants du flux de déchets est vaporisé sans que les autres constituants du flux de déchets ne soient vaporisés de manière sensible. Ledit thermocompresseur (10) comporte également un compresseur de vapeur (14) conçu pour comprimer la fraction vaporisée du premier constituant et pour délivrer cette fraction vaporisée et comprimée de manière à transférer de la chaleur au flux de déchets. Ledit système comporte également un évaporateur pelliculaire (16) monté en série avec le thermocompresseur (10) qui transfert la chaleur aux flux après que celui-ci ait quitté le thermocompresseur (10) de façon à vaporiser sensiblement la totalité du premier constituant sans vaporiser de manière sensible le second constituant. Il existe également un second compresseur de vapeur (18) en communication avec l'évaporateur pelliculaire (16), qui est conçu pour comprimer le premier constituant vaporisé issu de l'évaporateur pelliculaire (16) et pour délivrer ce premier constituant vaporisé et comprimé soit au thermocompresseur (10) soit à l'évaporateur pelliculaire (16) afin de transférer de la chaleur au flux qui s'y trouve.
