A method of communicating between websites includes accumulating customer data at a first website, storing the customer data in a database associated with the first website, and creating a reference identifier to a location of the customer data in the database. The reference identifier may contain a customer number and a reservation number associated with the reservation for the first type of goods or services and be transferred to the second website by way of a uniform resource locator (URL) address string. The method includes parsing the URL address string to extract the customer number and reservation number from the reference identifier, accessing the database associated with the first website from the second website to retrieve the customer data stored in the database, and populating data entry fields on the second website with the customer data to assist the customer with reserving the second type of goods or services.
