An online media delivery system incorporating combining on-the-fly media reformatting with advanced client detection capabilities enabling delivery of appropriate media content to connected client devices is described. The system receives requests from client devices for media documents or objects, identifies the client device requesting particular media objects from an HTTP request, determines the media output capabilities of the client device, reformats the source media according to those capabilities and delivers the reformatted media to the client device. The system provides access to media content for multiple disparate client devices of varying hardware and software capabilities. The system enables delivery of appropriate media content to practically any device with connectivity capability.
L'invention concerne un système de distribution de supports en ligne combinant le reformatage de supports à la volée et des capacités avancées de détection de clients permettant de distribuer un contenu de support approprié à des dispositifs clients connectés. Le système reçoit des demandes de documents ou d'objets supports de dispositifs clients, identifie le dispositif client demandant des objets supports particuliers à partir d'une demande HTTP, détermine les capacités de sortie de support du dispositif client, effectue le reformatage des supports source en fonction de ces capacités et distribue les supports reformatés au dispositif client. Le système donne accès au contenu de support à divers dispositifs clients avec des capacités matérielles et logicielles variées. Le système permet de distribuer un contenu de support approprié à pratiquement n'importe quel dispositif ayant la capacité de se connecter.
