An internal entrapment system for a garage door operator (30), comprising a motor, a pulse counter (62) for de- tecting a speed of the garage door (12), a potentiometer (56) for determining a plurality of positional locations of the garage door (12), and a control circuit (50) for calculating a motor torque value from the speed for each of said locations to compare with door profile data points, wherein said control circuit (50) takes corrective action if the difference between the motor torque value for each of said locations and said door profile data points ex- ceeds a predetermined threshold, and otherwise updates said door profile data points to the motor torque values. In another embod- iment both speed and position are detected by a slider element (58) which is connected to the control circuit (50). A closed loop lift cable system (100) may be employed.
L'invention concerne un système de fermeture interne destiné à un actionneur de porte de garage (30) et comprenant un moteur, un compteur d'impulsions (62) destiné à détecter la vitesse d'une porte de garage (12), un potentiomètre (56) servant à déterminer une pluralité de positions de cette porte de garage (12), et un circuit de commande (50) permettant de calculer une valeur de couple en fonction de la vitesse de la porte pour chaque position, et de comparer cette valeur avec des points de données de profil de porte. Ledit circuit de commande (50) effectue des corrections si la différence entre la valeur de couple du moteur pour chaque position et les points de données de profil de porte dépasse un seuil prédéterminé, ou adapte ces points de données de profil de porte aux valeurs de couple dudit moteur. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un élément coulissant (58) connecté au circuit de commande (50) sert à détecter la vitesse et la position de la porte. On peut également utiliser un système de câble de levage en boucle fermée (100).
