A system, apparatus and method whereby flameless combustion is precipitated and maintained in a combustion chamber having a surface that is either convex concave, straight or any combination thereof without the need for catalysts or high temperature oxidants. The apparatus allows the combustion chamber to operate in a conventional combustion mode and a flameless combustion mode. The method provides for hot air and fuel gas to both be inerted prior to their mixing so long as their blend temperatures are within the 10000F to the 14000F range. The inert hot air and the inert fuel gas flow side by side along the chamber's internal surface so that the two gases mix more uniformly, thereby allowing flameless combustion at lower temperatures resulting in low NOx emissions.
Système, appareil et procédé provoquant et maintenant une combustion sans flamme dans une chambre de combustion présentant une surface de forme convexe-concave, droite, ou d'une combinaison quelconque de ces formes, sans nécessiter de catalyseurs ou d'oxydants à haute température. L'appareil permet à la chambre de combustion de fonctionner dans un mode de combustion classique et dans un mode de combustion sans flamme. Le procédé assure l'inertage de l'air chaud et du combustible gazeux avant leur mélange pourvu que leurs températures de mélange soient situées dans la plage de 1000°F à 1400°F. L'air chaud inerte et le combustible gazeux inerte s'écoulent côte à côte le long de la surface interne de la chambre, de sorte que les deux gaz se mélangent plus uniformément, permettant ainsi une combustion sans flamme à des températures plus basses, ce qui se traduit par des émissions de NOx réduites.
